With depots in Nelson, West Coast and Central Otago, we offer everything you need, to enjoy these memorable ‘Great Rides’ including a range of quality Bosch’ e-Bikes, trail bikes, mountain bikes, tandems and family equipment.
Our services include the Mapua Ferry, transport, luggage transfers, accommodation, support, personal advice and insider tips.

Our Trails
We operate tours on six of New Zealand’s Great Rides. From our depots in Nelson City, Mapua Wharf, Hokitika and Cromwell.
You can experience some of the best cycle trails in the South Island which are so very different, offering unique landscapes and history.
We have four convenient locations including Nelson City, Mapua Wharf, Hokitika (West Coast) and Cromwell (Central Otago).

Kiwi Journeys stock the largest range of quality bikes and family equipment, including new KTM & HAIBIKE Electric Bikes, by Electrify.NZ.
Our range of rental equipment includes, trail comfort bikes, mountain bikes, E-Bikes, kid’s bikes, tandems, child seats and trailers.
Hire bikes from Nelson, Mapua Wharf, Hokitika and Cromwell.
Check out our new waterproof panniers…… These are included with all hire bikes fitted with carriers!

We are a family run business that prides ourselves on great service, equipment and support on your journey. Kiwi Journeys owns and operates the iconic Mapua Ferry in Mapua and our modern fleet of bikes (over 450) covers the whole family. We are proud to use high end, Bosch powered e-Bikes providing the best experience.
Our business has grown significantly with over 30 fulltime and seasonal staff that are proud locals in the regions you book! We have depots in Nelson City, Mapua Wharf, Kaiteriteri, Hokitika and recently Cromwell, offering our customers six Great Rides!
With this in mind, we would like to offer our loyal customers a 10% discount if you have used our services before on any of our trails. This ensures we can look after you for many memorable experiences to come, Kiwi Journeys style!
Your itinerary is detailed and fully costed - there are no hidden costs! Your experience includes a full briefing on arrival, a welcome pack (drink bottle and t-shirt) and our support during the ride.
