In Queenstown jump on board the Kiwi Journeys shuttle bound for Arthurs Point – home of the Shotover Jet. There, our crew will tell you all about the trail options ahead of you, and conduct a bike fitting before you embark on the first adventure of the day - a Shotover Jet boat ride.

One of the most iconic experiences in Queenstown, the Shotover Jet packs an absolute adrenaline punch during your time whizzing through the narrow Shotover canyons.  With majestic mountain backdrops, as many 360 spins as you can shake a stick at, the jet boat ride will set the tone for a fun-fuelled and action-packed day!

The main decision to make after the Shotover Jet experience is about what trail to explore.  From the new Shotover Gorge Trail with a 108m long tunnel delving into the gorge, you'll witness stunning scenery as it winds along the Shotover River.  Then, either connect to the Countryside Trail if journeying via Arrowtown is on the menu.  Or, from the Shotover Gorge Trail, navigate across the Queenstown basin on the Twin Rivers Trail which travels alongside the Shotover then Kawarau Rivers.

Whatever trail you choose, once you connect to the Gibbston River Trail you'll be heading in the direction of the Kawarau Bungy Bridge, where it’s time to test your nerves on the Kawarau Zipride in the Kawarau Bungy precinct!  Upgrades to the Kawarau Bungy or the Kawarau Swing are available for the die-hard adrenaline junkies!  

To quench your thirst after all the action, join the Gibbston River Trail and navigate to one of the many cellar doors of Gibbston wine country.  Top off the day at Mt Rosa Wines, where the Kiwi Journeys depot is located, for a relaxing refuel before catching the shuttle back to Queenstown.

Timings:

• Check-in: Queenstown at 8.15am for an 8.30 departure from 9 Duke St, Queenstown - behind Browns Ski Shop and in front of the Sofitel Queenstown

• Return: Shuttle departs Kiwi Journeys Gibbston at 5pm, for a 5.45pm return to Queenstown (routing via Arthurs Point)
