Your journey begins at Kiwi Journeys HQ in Nelson City, where you will be fitted to your bikes and  briefed. From there, enjoy a scenic 60-minute shuttle to Kaiteriteri Beach, famous for its golden sands and crystal-clear waters. Our Kiwi Journeys driver will give you some useful tips about the trail including food and beverage stops along the way.

You will start you ride at your own pace from Kaiteriteri along the stunning Great Taste Trail, passing through Riwaka, Motueka, Lower Moutere, and Tasman. This self-guided cycling route offers panoramic views, picturesque stops, local cafes and breweries, and charming rural scenery.

Your journey ends at the vibrant Mapua Wharf, where you’ll drop off your bike and have time to explore the wharf’s galleries, boutique shops, restaurants, cafes, a wine bar, and a local craft brewery.

At 5:30pm, catch your return shuttle back to Nelson. An epic day from start to finish!

• 9.00am Pick-up: Kiwi Journeys HQ - 16b Paru Paru Road, Nelson (please be here by 8:35am for sign in, briefing and bike fitting)

• 9:00am – 10:00am Shuttle to Kaiteriteri

• 5.30pm - 6.05pm, Shuttle back to Nelson City
